What Is Talent Booking?

Talent booking is the art and strategy of matching the right voices with the right platforms to create moments that entertain, educate, and grow audiences. At CTB, we’re the collaborators and problem solvers behind the scenes of today’s most influential podcasts, creators, and TV shows, helping clients shine and their content thrive.

Through thoughtful, strategic curation, CTB identifies, pitches, and secures standout guests, supporting media platforms in bringing their vision to life.

For CTB, talent booking isn’t about filling a seat; it’s about crafting meaningful and mutually beneficial collaborations guided by cultural awareness, editorial instinct, and trusted industry relationships.

The result? Can’t-miss content that connects and drives culture globally.

The CTB Story

Founded in 1999 by Joanna Jordan, CTB started from an innovative vision while Joanna was leading the talent department at The Late Show with David Letterman. With the courage to venture into the unknown and a powerful endorsement from Letterman himself, Joanna launched CTB, becoming the first independent third-party talent booking agency of its kind. Until then, talent booking had always been handled in-house.

What started with The Late Show as our first client has grown into partnerships with icons of late night like Jimmy Kimmel Live! and pioneers in podcasting like WTF with Marc Maron.

Today, CTB sits on the front lines of new media, booking the voices shaping culture across podcasts, creator-driven platforms, and television. As storytelling evolves, so do we, helping our clients lead the conversation wherever audiences are listening and watching next.
